Away Tournament Player/Parent Guidelines

2023 – 2024

 

Note: These Guidelines are to be reviewed with the teams’ players and parents at a meeting held no less than 24 hours prior to departing for an out-of-town tournament. Copies of these Guidelines are to be provided to each family (player and parent) at that meeting.

  1. Each player must be accompanied by at least one parent or parent designated legal guardian who is at least 25 years of age. The team's head coach and team manager must be informed at least 24 hours in advance of departing for the tournament if the player will be accompanied by a parent designated legal guardian. The designated legal guardian is subject to and must abide by the same rules and guidelines set forth for a parent in the Away Tournament Player/Parent Guidelines.
  2. Player must travel to and from the tournament with his/her parent or designated legal guardian. Players are not permitted to drive themselves to attend an out-of-town tournament.
  3. Each Family will be assigned one room. Only family members (parent, player and siblings) will share that room.
  4. Parent(s) will be responsible for all activity taking place within his/her assigned room.
  5. Parent(s) will be responsible for the behavior of his/her child(ren) at all times.
  6. No alcohol will be allowed in any room at any time.
  7. Coaches will establish reasonable curfew times for each evening while out of town and will perform evening bed checks to ensure compliance with the curfew. All family members will be present for bed checks.
  8. Inappropriate behavior by players or parents will result in disciplinary action as determined by the GBS Titan Hockey Club Board of Directors.
